sweetNsalty

I love dessert!  I actually sometimes wish I was more of a salty girl than a sweet girl (possibility of less calories) but with this dessert I do not have to feel as guilty!  There is nothing more exciting than a variety of chocolate covered pretzels! With the salt of the pretzel, and the sweetness of the chocolate - it meets cravings right in the middle.

There are so many ways to make and decorate these.  You can use your imagination and your favourite toppings to create your own personal dessert pretzel. The basic recipe is chocolate with sprinkles, but you can use Oreos, white chocolate, coconut, caramel, peanut butter and so on!

Basic Recipe:

Ingredients

1 package semi sweet chocolate
1 package twist pretzels or long stick pretzels
1/4 cup candy sprinkles (colour of your choice)

Directions

  1. Melt chocolate in the top of a double boiler, stirring constantly.
  2. Dip pretzel halfway into the chocolate, completely covering half of the pretzel. Roll in topping if desired, and lay on wax paper.
  3. Continue the process until all of the chocolate is finished. Sprinkle with your favourite topping. Place in refrigerator for 15 minutes to harden. Store in airtight container.
Use them as party favours at your friends bridal shower or a baby naming!

Make a bunch and wrap them up and take them to a friends house when your invited for dinner...they will be thrilled!
