caramel apples

One thing I love about the Fall are the gorgeous fresh apples. Something I love even more are candied/caramel apples.  A fond memory I have was my family's yearly trip skiing in Aspen.  Every time we went we would go to this amazing shop that made fresh caramel apples...I miss those times..

how to:

- Remove the stem from each apple and press a craft stick or thick wooden skewer into the top. Butter a baking sheet.
- Place caramels and milk in a microwave safe bowl, and microwave 2 minutes, stirring once. Allow to cool briefly.
- Roll each apple quickly in caramel sauce until well coated. Roll in your favourite toppings. Place on prepared sheet to set.

they make great gifts!
